Are You Paying Attention?

How do you allow pain and energy to move through you when a deep relationship in your life comes to an end? What does it feel like to live a life in dedication to your excitement, self-love, and ultimate creative journey? Are you paying attention to the universal signs that are trying to guide you to your highest self?

A few years ago I was introduced to Lecia Fox via a mutual friend. Lecia is a Light Worker, Activator, and HigherSelf Life Coach. In simple terms, she’s packed full of wisdom and light. We planned on recording a podcast episode, but the Universe intervened a few times and it never worked out. Fast forward to today and it all makes sense.

The Universe Wants to Play With You

Lecia and I both look for signs from the Universe to help guide us in our business, spiritual, and awareness journeys. Over the past few months, we started having so many synchronicities that it became crystal clear that it was time to connect. She is one of my favorite’s to tune into because her authenticity glows, and the way that she teaches is of the highest form of mastery.

“What are you actually afraid of? Your highest self has infinite wisdom…”

Lecia Fox

In this episode, Lecia and I freely explore the collision of our journeys, the magic universal wand that is always guiding you, Pythagorean numerology, the process of transitioning through deep relationships, ayahuasca and plant medicine healing journeys, higher self habits, the intimacy of intuition, self forgiveness, unconditional love and more.

Wisdom From the Dalai Lama

Shortly after our episode, Lecia sent me this beautiful reminder in the mail. I wanted to share it because it packs a punch that is incredibly relevant to all of us.

“To be aware of a single shortcoming within oneself is more useful than to be aware of a thousand in somebody else. Rather than speaking badly about people and in ways that will produce friction and unrest in their lives, we should practice a purer perception of them, and when we speak of others, speak of their good qualities. If you find yourself slandering anybody, first imagine that your mouth is filled with excrement. It will break you of the habit quickly enough.” – H.H. The XIV TH Dalai Lama

How Good Are You Willing to Let it Get? Exploring the Feel Good Life with Sarah Seidelmann

How Good Are You Willing to Let it Get

No matter what type of fear, procrastination, or resistance gremlins enter your life, there is always one thing you can control that will stop their invasion: your energy.

Will you allow these negative forces to drain and taint your energy, or will you take control of your energy and use it to learn, reflect, and move closer to your visions?

Over many years, I have intermittently struggled with allowing myself to feel my happiest because of some sort of external factor that was bothering me. Sometimes this shows up in the form of depression, full-body inflammation, or a lack of self-worth and often leads to a downward spiral. Because of the negative experiences, I sometimes created imaginary limitations for myself in an attempt to establish protection from more bad experiences moving forward. I was removing parts of my life that brought me happiness and love because I was scared that something might go wrong and make me unhappy. I was settling for a middle ground of simply existing rather than experiencing. Does this seem familiar?

You see, the security blanket is actually the problem in itself. We hold ourselves back from our dreams because we are afraid we will fall on our face. In other words, we aren’t allowing ourselves to reach our heightened states of mind, body, and spirit. We aren’t willing to let allow ourselves to blossom into the flowers we can be. We are sacrificing our lives to fear.

So, How Good Are You Willing to Let it Get?

What happens if you let love in? What happens if you say yes to everything that excites you? What happens if you trust in your intuition? What happens if you release your fears and doubts? How will things change if you surrender, let go, and become one with your passions?

“It is a mess out there, but sit up tall, smile, and laugh. That’s your work.”

Sarah Seidelmann

I first heard Sarah Seidelmann talk on a podcast she did with a mentor of mine, Jared Angaza, on “the wisdom of the wild things,” and I was immediately catapulted into a stronger, happier mindset. She’s one of those rare people that can change the way you look at life in its entirety with just a few words.

how good are you willing to get it get - heatharmstrong.com

Sarah spent two decades practicing medicine, specializing in surgical pathology, and raising her family. But something started shifting in her, drawing her into an exploration of deeper creativity, nature and intuition. She wanted to figure out what would make her FEEL GOOD all the time, and how she could apply her experiences to help others do the same. So, she took a six-month sabbatical from her job and started exploring.

Well, when you follow your bliss, magical things start to happen. Sarah followed hers through shamanic journeying, animal totems, and an interesting meeting with one of her spirit guides, Alice the Elephant.

To date, Sarah and Alice have co-authored multiple books, including their newest release, How Good Are You Willing to Let it Get? Daily FEELGOOD Inspiration for Creatives, Healers, and Helpers. (Secret**: She has a card deck coming soon too!)

I’m ecstatic to have Sarah on this episode of Never Stop Peaking, as we explore universal synchronicity, spirit-animal guides, the magic of nature, shamanic journeying, life transformations, the creative process, and more

Using Youtube to Expand Your Audience

I have a certain respect for humble and honest online ‘entrepreneurs’ in a world where it seems like so much inauthentic fluff exists. If I come across someone teaching something that interests me, the first thing I do is stalk them with five dark-web hackers, three hired private investigators, a few fake tinder accounts within 10 miles of their residence, and one 12-year old genius who knows how to obtain hair, saliva, blood, and fecal samples that can be processed in a lab within 4 hours to reveal genetics, allergies, imbalances in the gut-biome, sexual orientation, and even music preference.

But, every once in a while I trust someone I meet so much that I don’t have to send the goons out to complete the tasks.  One of those dudes is Mat Gunnufson who runs the FBA Couple youtube channel, and also ResellforProfits.com

In This Episode

Matt helped me out tremendously when I was transitioning my own Amazon business into other projects that I carried more passion for, and I am truly grateful for that. He recently started a small youtube channel that is converting really well, and I wanted to bring him on to the Never Stop Peaking show to discuss his experience of getting started on youtube. I feel there is tremendous value in the raw process from the ground up, and that is what Mat and I discuss in this episode.

In this episode, we cover:

  • Mat’s journey from selling heaters to doing $70k months on Amazon
  • The basics of getting started on Youtube
  • Why Youtube is a great education platform
  • Tools for helping with Youtube keyword research
  • The process of converting your youtube videos to customer leads
  • The power of google and youtube searches over interruption based platforms like Facebook
  • Selling courses through youtube (like Mat’s Resell for Profits course)
  • Methods for driving traffic to your youtube channel
  • The importance of video content vs. quality
  • Personal habits for optimizing health and relationships

Finding Home Between Bulgaria and America

Joy and butterflies ravage my body like a teenage school boy kissing his first girl (or boy or whatever hybrid you like) whenever I talk with Mitko Karshovski. Mitko, or more commonly known as Structured Daddy, is the perfect combination of a loving mobster and a nomadic genius, all wrapped up in a package that even the highest of royal snobs couldn’t ignore. Whenever he’s around, I feel like Sandy at the end of Grease. I just want to put on all my tight black clothes and flip the bird while I speed off with him around the world, living happily and dangerously ever after.

“You can’t know what you don’t know” – Mitko Karshovski

While everything above is 100% true, it’s also important to point out my sincere appreciation for Mitko and his journey. He immigrated to the United States from Bulgaria when he was super young, and he’s spent much of his life exploring the world, discovering that all humans are connected no matter the culture, preferences, or locations. Home doesn’t have to be specific, it can be anywhere.

In This Episode

I had the chance to explore Bulgaria with Mitko and Ian of Life Nomading late last year, and I’ve never been so hot and bothered in my life.  Fortunately for him, he has a foxy American soon-to-be wife who set clear boundaries, not allowing me to infiltrate. Nonetheless, because of my comfort level with Mitko, we are always able to have real, no-bullshit conversations about deep topics and meaningful causes. This episode is no different, as we dive into hyper-sensitive topics such as the covid-19 pandemic, sex-trafficking, human slavery, and living as a Strag. We also explore the future of remote work as an alternative to the traditional corporate office life, and the importance of having a creative or direction.

When Life Gives You Lemons, Paint That Shit Gold

In the Winter of 2016, I walked downstairs to a cold, eerie basement that I had come to know as my sacred creative space in a small house I was renting in Walla Walla, Washington. As I edged closer to the bottom step, something seemed off with the smell of the air. The stack of journaling systems I was using to hold my life together was also in complete disarray, as if it had come to life and was loudly screaming “Dude, why did you let this happen to me?!”

It took me a couple of seconds to figure out what had happened, but once I did, I immediately fell face forward into the dark pit of terror and madness. How could this have happened? NOOO! WHY!!!!??? I’ll get back to that in a minute.

When You Hit The Bottom, Bounce Back Up

Just five years earlier, after starting my night with a few beers at some random Octoberfest celebration in Lexington, Kentucky, I woke up face-down-pants-down on my garage floor at around 9:00 a.m. Just inches from the wooden steps leading into the house, my nose had been leaking blood onto the concrete floor, and my hand still grasped an empty bottle of Jim Beam that I must have acquired somewhere along the way. I was too weak to approach and turn off my car, still running, parked in the middle of the front yard as though abandoned in a high-speed chase after a Cops episode.

A few years later, in February 2014, I woke up yet again from another night of blackout numbness. Although I hated myself for the situations, I couldn’t seem to break the habit. I pulled myself down to the oversized jacuzzi tub in my excessive four-bedroom house with five televisions, a full bar and too many fish tanks to count, and I just hit the floor in shambles. I cried. I pulled my hair out. I held my breath underwater and considered making the pain go away forever. The army of fear and resistance had me at check-mate, and I knew I had to make changes if I wanted to get out alive. But, how?

The Importance of Personal Daily Habits to Improve Mindset, Health, and Happiness

Under the guidance of a few incredibly special people that trickled into my life unexpectedly (Amber Vilhauer, Hal Elrod, Paul Kemp), I decided to start interviewing happy and successful people around the world who were living passionately, no matter what harsh situations the world presented them with. My goal was to highlight any commonalities in their habits, approach, and lifestyle and see what would happen if I applied them to my life. It wasn’t long before the number of interviews capped the 100 mark, and the habits and strategies I learned and started applying to my life helped me make a mass transformation that still doesn’t seem real.

In just two and a half years, I:

  • Sold my house and everything I owned to eliminate distractions and discover meaning.
  • Paid off over $20,000 in personal debt.
  • Retired my ‘traditional career’ in exchange for my own passionate, purposeful projects.
  • Automated a high-revenue e-commerce business and became my own boss.
  • Moved to the Pacific Northwest as I had always dreamed of doing.
  • Started traveling the world, testing my comfort zone in the best ways possible.

Never Stop Peaking on iTunes | Spotify | Google Play | Stitcher

All these changes were catapulted off the back of one very simple change: the introduction of personal daily habits to improve mindset, health, and happiness.

After discovering the habits that fueled all the incredible people I interviewed, I was neurotically tracking them all in separate journals like a mad scientist on speed. I had thoughts about making the system more simple, and possibly sharing the ideas with others, but I was too scared and full of resistance to step into that light.

When Your Handsome Black Lab Pees On Your Journals

As I got to the bottom of the steps in that cold, eerie basement, the horrid smell and disorganized terror revealed itself! My handsome black lab, Arlonious Bologna Maximus, had lifted his leg and let down a stream of his own glory to soak all my journals. Not only that, he had jaw-chomped a few into unrecognizable pieces. The rage consumed me! All my sensitive, important information was soiled!

Just a few hours later, I remembered back to a year or so earlier when I had a call with my coach at the time, Jacqueline du Plessis. She said, “Dude, why don’t you just put all of those systems into one simple journal that other people can use too? You want to be a writer, right? You have to start.” She was right. I’ve always wanted to be a writer, and I’ve also always wanted to help others overcome any resistance, fears, or situations that are keeping them from ultimate happiness as well. I don’t want anyone to feel like I used to feel, ever. I did just as she suggested.

Creating A Journaling System for the World

In early 2017, I released The Sweet Ass Journal to Develop Your Happiness Muscle in 100 Days. I had no idea what kind of impact it would have on my life, let alone the thousands of wonderful souls that would end up using it. Since its release, I’ve had hundreds of beautiful people reach out about the effect the journal is having on their mindset, health, and overall happiness. Most of the transitions and stories people have shared with me have brought genuine tears, outrageous laughs, and pure gratitude to my creative path.

Meeting Caitlin Grenier and Creating The Sweet-Ass Journal to Optimize Your Diabetic Lifestyle in 100 Days

One of the beautiful and brilliant people I met along the way was . Caitlin is the founder of Party Like A Diabetic, and she embraces every bit of her journey, no matter how unexpectedly hard it can get. She glows with happiness and health.

We met through a lunch meeting with my sister in Nashville, Tennessee in 2018, and she expressed to me her life mission to help diabetics optimize their lifestyles, mindsets, and overall health. As I shared the happiness journal with her, we immediately noticed a huge chunk of practices that could be beneficial to diabetics, as most of them positively impact stress and happiness levels, which can in return have an astonishing effect on keeping blood glucose levels in range and steady.

At this point, I had almost two years of great feedback from the happiness journal, as well as further research into the science of WHY these practices work. I had already started working on a revised version of the original journal, and I was instantly intrigued by Caitlin’s mission. When she asked, half joking, if we could make a version of the journal specifically for diabetics, excitement flooded my creative brain. Well, we made one

Diabetic-Journal

In This Episode

This episode is an exploration of how Caitlin and I met, Caitlin’s journey through unexpected diagnosis and healing, and our creative alliance to bring these practices to those who need it in the world. We also explore the idea of shifting the world away from judgment, disconnection, and criticism, and into self-love, community, and connection. No matter what life presents you with, it’s important to find gratitude in the process and use the experience as motivation and fuel to keep moving forward and creating.
